BEYOND BEGINNER

Intermediate

You’ve worked hard getting beyond beginner status, and now you’re able to evaluate many aspects of a shot and hit quite a few ones, and maybe break 100.

You hit 3 to 6 greens in regulation so you’re starting to see birdie putts, but unfortunately you don’t convert many. You average about 36 putts per round but sometimes you’re over 40. Your performance isn’t refined.
You’re full swing is starting to feel comfortable, although your shots don’t always fly where you want, and your green reading isn’t always accurate. Your biggest problem is consistency. You may have a stretch of good holes but double bogeys and snowmen creep in.
You likely hit a driver over 200 yards but you’re not so good with fairway woods and bunker play. You probably have a moderate-to-severe slice. You’re watching videos that teach about swing technique but you find them conflicting and you stil wonder about how to practice, evaluate shots and execute them.

You sort of know how far to hit each club, but inconsistency makes you unsure of what club to hit on most shots. You’re beginning to think that you don’t need quite as much time on the range and that developing a feel for the course is helpful – but you don’t know how to practice or play to get better. You need help creating flow on the course.
You’re able to control your emotions and deal with them, but certain things still rattle you a bit. You feel like you’re close to taking a big step forward, but you need input on what to focus on to get better. Performance coaching will help you with very brief visualization, pre-shot routine, proper alignment, course management, short game as well as green reading and putting. And while on the course you need to make bold choices now and then to gain experience.
